Harry Cronin, C.S.C. – Theater
Ph.D., University of Minnesota; degrees from the University of Notre Dame, Holy Cross College and Catholic University of America. He is recipient of the James H. Mitchell Award for Playwriting, the McKnight Foundation Graduate Theatre Fellowship at the University of Minnesota and the Tyrone Guthrie Theatre, and a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. He has served as Director of Theatre at the University of Portland as well as playwright-in-residence. He has directed over a dozen major productions. His produced plays include Memoirs of Jesus, which received two Los Angeles Drama-logue awards, including Critic's Choice. The play was later produced at the Calgary Arts Center in Canada. His play, Dooley, had two productions in San Francisco at the Jon Sims Center and the New Conservatory Theater. His publications include Eugene O'Neill, Irish and American.
